
Groupama SA Chengdu Branch was established in October 2004 and is the first wholly foreign-owned non-life insurer in Sichuan. With "Honesty, Transparency, Reliability, Responsibility" as its creed, the company has achieved rapid business development since its establishment. Indeed, Groupama SA Chengdu Branch has now 20 sales agencies within Sichuan province.
Groupama SA Chengdu Branch believes in localized management and strives to provide international standard products and services to customers. We actively participate in the economic development of West China and contribute to the expansion of insurance in China.
Development history
• June 2003: Authorization from the CIRC (China Insurance Regulatory Commission) to commercialize non-life insurance
• October 26th 2004: Establishment of the branch in Chengdu and signature of a co-operation agreement with the Agricultural Bank of China
• October 26th 2004:Launch of commercial property and individual property insurance on the market
• March 27th 2007: Authorization from the CIRC to launch health insurance
• April 2007: Became one of the pilot insurance companies for political agricultural insurance in Sichuan
• February 27th 2008: Authorization from the CIRC to launch commercial motor insurance in Sichuan
• June 20th 2008: Authorization from the CIRC to launch cargo insurance
• September 3rd 2008: Authorization from the CIRC to launch personal accident insurance
