36-year old Frank Cammas is a Yachtsman, a Grand talent mature slowly. After his first sailing from the old port of Marseilles, France, he was no more afraid of any dangerous lines. He joined Groupama fleet as the captain in 1998. Since then, he has driven Yacht Groupama 2 to participate in 24 competitions, in which he won 18 times and won the championship for 14 times. In addition, he won ORMA Championship for 5 times and broke the word record for 4 times. Now he is driving Groupama 3, which is almost 1 time bigger than Groupama 2, to conquer the new world record.

 

Though the impact and scale of sailing are relatively small now in China, it's a potential market and nowadays Qingdao has become one of the bases for sailboat competition. Franck Cammas is believed to come to China for contests some day in the near future.

 

In early March this year, Frank Cammas specially recorded this video for Colleagues in Groupama SA Chengdu Branch. It was his first time to make a greeting video for Groupama overseas branches, showing his preferring and longing for China.
